Abstract (EN)
H. pylori which is an important pathogen, is the cause of more than half of worldpopulation and it is also the reason of great loss of work, labor force and cost and it isproved to be or accused of being the efficient pathogenic of diseases fromgasrointestinal system inflammatory infectious to cardiological diseases, fromautoimmune diseases to cancer. There are many investigations about this pathogen onthe prevalence, pathogenity and vaccine in our country and in the world. In our study,we analyzed the immune response of organism by searching the existence of vacA andcagA genes that are the cause of pathogenic character of H. pylori in the infection ofupper gastrointestinal tract and of its epidemiological characteristics. We researchedthat how the existence of patogenicity affects the vaccine studies that developed for theeradication of this bacterium.One hundred fifty four patients were included taken from Gaziantep University,Medical Faculty Hospital, Department of Gastroenterology and whom they were pre-diagnosed as non-ulcer dyspepsia, gastro-esophageal reflux, ulcer, duodenal ulcer andgastric carcinoma by endoscopy. The epidemiological characteristics of patients wereevaluated by questionnaire. Biopsy materials and peripheral venous blood samples frompatients were collected. Being positive or not samples of H. pylori was determined byviiurea-breath test. In the 96 patients who had positive for urea-breath test, 16 s rRNA,vacA and cagA genes were researched using the PCR. In the meantime, level of H.pylori specific IgA was researched in the serum by ELISA method. The results wereprovide information about age, sex, relation with chronic diseases and drug using andstatistical information about domestic transition and give information about theprevalence of infectious in our region. It was determined that there are many factors thatare the cause of patogenity of H. pylori infectious and especially the existence of vacAgene is an important infectious factor and IgA production is triggered by thetogetherness of vacA and cagA genes.
