Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, there are encountered two types of imaginations of the social future: The first is the social doubt caused by expectation of totalitarian regimes and the second is the social order horizon in which the capitalist reality continues with the expansion speed of technology domination. Both types of futures lead to devastating effects on society. At this juncture, the attention should be drawn to the importance of utopian thought concept. The utopian thought should not be understood as search a social order based on doctrinal elements, but rather as a quality of social criticism towards our historical continuity. At the crucial stage of the utopian thought crisis, where future horizons are seen as a concern, spatial practices opened to debate the role of liberation. Thereby, heterotopic space stand out as the pluralistic possibilities that capture the power of shaping the social future. The main focus of this study is to examine the case of utopian thought's formal transformations in historical process. Through socio-political analysis of the utopian thought, the thesis suggests the restricted future imaginations and utopia's historical crisis may be overcome by means of "heterotopic space" potentials.
