Abstract (EN)

Drug use and addiction is a serious problem that has been threatening all mankind. Although many efforts have been made to combat it, this social problem which is copmlex difficult to solve has not been overcome yet. The number of users, drug addicted and drug-related death rate is still rising. This problem which has devastating effects on the States, sociaties and individuals emerges one as one of the urgent issues to be solved for Turkey as well. Within this context various instituttions have been established for fighting against drugs. The aim of this study is to reveal the factors affecting the coordination and collaboration between the actors involved in the struggle and the structures that were constituted in order to fight against drugs in the province of Eskisehir. This study is a qualitative research. The approach of case study has been adopted in this study. The samples are composed of members of the Fight Against Addiction Provincial Coordination Commission and non-governmental organisations having a role in fighting against drugs. The data were collected by semi-structured interview and non-structured observation technique and analyzed and interpreted using the content analysis technique. As a result of the study, the structure created for the fight against drugs was considered as a network organization and the factors affecting coordination and collaboration among actors have been identified.
