Özet (EN)

There are many rivers on Earth. Rivers formed from natural water sources have created their own waterways in a way that adapts to the terrain's slope. Depending on the land conditions and the changes made by humans on the land, wide water bodies have formed in some regions, while narrow water bodies have formed in others. At the same time, the influence of rainfall conditions and environmental factors has caused the water bodies to change over the years. The fact that the waterway of rivers is not constant over the years causes square meters of land to be unusable for commercial purposes (agriculture, industry, tourism, etc.). This situation also has a negative economic impact on the states. If the waterways are stabilized and do not change over the years, the areas that will be allocated for purposes such as agriculture will contribute to the economic development of both the local population and the state. In this study, the change in the watercourse of the Batman River over the years was identified using remote sensing data and various machine learning techniques. Due to this change, the stabilization of the waterway has been analyzed in order to reclaim areas that have been left within the water beds and cannot be used for purposes such as agriculture. As a result, it is evaluated that in the scenario where the waterway is stabilized and does not change over the years, the area to be reclaimed will benefit both the national economy and the people of Batman.
