CAN-Bus and its derivatives are widely used in many applications. In this study, CAN-Bus communication has been specifically developed for elevator buttons. Traditional elevator buttons have numerous cables to communicate with the control panel. However, the buttons only help us call the elevator. Old-style buttons in tall buildings have many cables. Many cables often cause malfunctions. CAN-Bus is a solution to reduce the number of cables. In contrast, faulty buttons based on CAN-Bus communication cannot be repaired due to software programming. This study presents a new button style that can be dynamically re-addressed remotely and locally. Reducing the number of buttons provides significant efficiency in sales and profit generation in the market. CAN-Bus-based data transmission also offers convenience and interactive solutions for addressing. In case of failure, easy access to the button and reduced cabling provide energy transmission and cost savings in high-rise buildings.
