The effectiveness of distance education a research on "İnönü University Distance Education Centre of Theology Degree Completion Program Example"

The overall objective of the research is to get a general opinion on the effectiveness of the courses conducted in Theology Degree Completion Program at Inonu University Distance Education Centre. To achieve this overall objective, personal status such as age, gender, occupation of the students attending the program, the effect of the given education to students' academic success, the differences between students academic successes according to gender and occupation have been evaluated. This research has been designed to be quasi-experimental since it aims to measure the effectiveness of Theology Degree Completion program at İnonu University. 2012-2013 academic year fall semester Distance Education Centre in Theology degree Completion Program for Islamic Moral Philosophy Course, participating in a total of 163 students. Students gender, marital status, number of children, occupation, seniority, age, graduated from high school, work place, place of birth according to their impact on their academic success were investigated. In order to test the sub-problems, one group pretest-posttest study design has been used. Relational average t-test has been applied in the analysis of data related to a single group pretest-posttest design. t-test indicates whether the difference of the average pre-test and post-test whether is significant or not.
