Investigation of the effect of OBADER sessions given by distance education on parents with 36-72 months old children

This research was carried out in order to prepare the evaluation scale of family education sessions included in the Preschool Education Program and Integrated Family Support Education Guide (OBADER) and to examine the effect of this education on parents by giving the education subjects in OBADER through distance education in line with this scale. For this purpose, "OBADER Family Education Sessions Evaluation Scale Given With Distance Education" was developed. In the study, one group pre-test post-test experimental design was used. The study group consisted of parents with children aged 36-72 months. Within the scope of the research, two different sample groups were studied. The first sample group: To create the scale, the second sample group was used to examine the effect of OBADER sessions given with distance education on parents through the developed scale. The first sample group of the study consists of 310 parents with 36-72 months old children reached via Google Forms. The study area in the second sample group of the research consists of 33 parents with 36-72 months old children living in the provinces of Antalya, Denizli, Aydın and Muğla. The study used "Personal Information Form" and "Scale for Evaluating the Effects of OBADER Family Education Sessions Given by Distance Education on Parents" developed by the researcher as a data collection tool. The scale was administered to the parents as a pre-test. After the pre-test application, the family education sessions in OBADER were given to the parents by distance education by the researcher. A post-test was administered to the parents two weeks after the training. The findings obtained as a result of data collection were analyzed in the SPSS 22 program. As a result of the analysis of the data collected with the developed scale, a statistically significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test. This showed that education led to a significant change in the sub-factor scores of "Expectations of the Family, Attitudes of the Family and Communication of the Family with the Child". As a result, it was examined whether the change in the sub-factors differed according to the independent variables.
