Analysis of the leadership characteristics of entrepreneurs activated in the space tourism sector

The purpose of this study; The aim is to analyze, understand, define and reveal the leadership characteristics and leadership types exhibited by the entrepreneurs operating and leading in the space tourism sector. In line with the purpose of the research, revealing the leadership characteristics of entrepreneurs operating in the space tourism sector by analyzing them with scientific methods and determining the strengths and weaknesses of their leadership areas will serve as a guide for new entrepreneurs. This can provide important guidance to improve the leadership potential of future entrepreneurs. The research was conducted in a qualitative pattern and the document analysis technique was used to obtain the data. Content analysis of the data obtained was made and conclusions were reached from the findings. According to this; This research has shown that all of the entrepreneurs examined have leadership qualities at a certain level. In addition, it has been determined that some leadership characteristics in entrepreneurs stand out more clearly than other characteristics. While Elon Musk's most prominent leadership feature is "having a vision"; Sir Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos reflect more "individual talents" characteristics in leadership. It was concluded that while Michael Suffredini's "team spirit and goal setting" qualities came to the fore, Eric Anderson showed his "predictability" feature more.When entrepreneurs are evaluated in terms of leadership type; It has been concluded that Elon Musk is closer to the transformational leadership type, Sir Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos are closer to charismatic leadership, Michael T. Suffredini is closer to distributed leadership and Eric Anderson is closer to the instructional leadership type.It has been revealed that entrepreneurs exhibit some common leadership characteristics. The most important of these are; Characteristics such as having a vision, having foresight and innovation, having financial management skills, courage and risk taking, mastering technology, team management, crisis management, flexibility skills and communication skills are the common leadership characteristics exhibited by entrepreneurs.
