Özet (EN)
This thesis reports a research work for the reconstruction of 3D models of single view and multiple views parts that may be either cylindirical or prishmathic. The research involves these two 3D modelling processes. The reconstruction of rotational symetrical parts includes the determination of model areas and application of rotational swepping to them. The algorithm process steps are the construction of model areas from planar and cylindirical regions, construction of main and basic solids from model areas, construction of pre-solid in the views regions with boolean operations then construction of solid model by volumetric intersections of pre-solid.These algorithms were tested through a computer programme used in the AutoCAD environment and written in Visual BASIC 6.0 and VisualLISP codes. In this programme, an expert system aided decision mechanism is used for making decision to the type of object, and constructing of basic solid and pre-solid element on the view regions. The work contributes the literature in that the use of AI during reconstruction of 3D models, tackling the problem of multiple views and sectional views. It is also possible to construct 3D models of cylindirical and prishmathic parts together or seperatly given by their single, two or three views.
