Abstract (EN)
Globalization changes the world into a huge village rapidly. Therefore it's necessary to realize an integration between Türkiye and world countries without being so late. One of the most important instruments of achieving that aim is futures markets whose trading volume expands day by day and whose importance is comprehended better. The main goal of this thesis is to remove wrong thoughts and make higher information level about futures markets which Türkiye was being introduced recently. Instead of theoretical information, different approaches about futures markets was considered in this thesis and also existing infrastructure of Türkiye and works to be done firstly and suggestions were presented. In growing world trade, because parity and price risk arose after transition from fixed parity to dynamic parity, exporting and importing firms had to manage and hedge those risks. Nowadays risk management for every firms is more important than beating the competitors. Although futures transactions were considered in this work, other risk management techniques were also mentioned shortly. The reasons of being late of Türkiye on futures markets were discussed. After giving existing infrastructure features, futures transactions being used and markets whose preparations of establishment continue were considered and then some warnings and suggestions about exchanges which are thought to be establish and which must be established. In this thesis some opinions of academic financial authorities from Türkiye and the world were presented and also it has given place to approaches that were stated in technical studies prepared by public foundations.
