​structural geomorphology of the area between the lakes of Van and Erçek (Tuşba district)

It was aimed to investigate the geomorphological and tectonic structure of the area between Van and Erçek lakes, to determine its structural features and to reveal the effects of active tectonics in the study area on geomorphology. Thus, by revealing the tectonic and geomorphological development of the investigated area, the importance of the effect of young tectonic events on the geomorphology of Türkiye is emphasized. It was observed that the reverse and thrust faults played a very important role in shaping the field morphology in the area between Van and Erçek lakes (Tuşba District) after the 7,4-magnitude earthquake in 2011. In this context, it is aimed to provide information about the formation and development of landforms by studying the structural geomorphology of the region. Macro and mesostructures affecting the landforms in the study area were examined one by one and detailed information was provided about the structural geomorphology of the study area.
