The faunistic and systematic researches on Scarabaeidae (coleoptera) family in the Van Lake basin

In this study, Scarabaeidae species in The Van Lake Basin belonging to the provinces of Van and Bitlis in Eastern Anatolia Region was aimed to determine. The samples collected between April 2007 and September 2010 from the different regions of central provinces, towns and villages were evaluated as a material.Identification key of subfamily, genus and the species has been prepared for the samples by using the resources. Individual male and female photographs of each species, adeagus and parameres photographs of male genital organ were given. As a result of the study, 6 subfamilies, 38 genera and 71 species belonging to the Scarabaeidae family were determined in Van Lake Basin.For each species the localities, coordinates, altitudes, their distribution in Turkey and in the world, chorotypes, synonyms and after the description of the species, biological informations about each species were also given.
