Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the reactions of vanadium compounds with the ligand biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic acid (bpdcH2) were investigated, and the synthesis and characterization of two resulting compounds were carried out. One of the compounds obtained under hydrothermal synthesis conditions, [ⅤⅣO(bpdc)]∞, is a metal-organic framework (MOF)-type coordination polymer and was found to be structurally similar to compounds in the COMOC-2, MIL-47(V), and MIL-53 (Cr, Al, Fe) families. It was determined that [ⅤⅣO(bpdc)]∞, which has empty pores, contains the same ligand as COMOC-2, and the primary structural difference between the two lies in the presence of DMF molecules within the pores of COMOC-2. The hydrothermally synthesized second compound, [V_2^III(bpdc)3]ꝏ, has been partially characterized due to the inability to obtain a sufficiently large crystal. No compound containing both vanadium and the bpdc ligand except COMOC-2 has been reported in the literature. Therefore, the compound with the Formula [V_2^III(bpdc)3]ꝏ is considered to be a novel compound.
