In this study, the removal and the recovery of the V5+ with 3-dodecyl 1-metyl imidazolium bromide (MDDIMBr) and 1-metyl 3-tetradecyl imidazolium bromide (MTDIMBr) salts as extractants from acidic aqueous solutions were investigated. The parameters affecting the extraction and stripping of the V5+ which are extractant concentration, feed phae pH, phase ratio, extraction time interwal, 4-(2-piridilazo) resorcinol (PAR) concentration, stripping phase type and concentration were optimized. In the optimum conditions, the effect of initial V5+ ion concentration and the effect of interferred ion were investigated.
