Abstract (EN)

In this thesis; the first chapter includes brief information about historical and cultural developments in Classical Period. Also, the importance of Mannheim School and the general characteristics of the period are expressed. In the second chapter, the main outlines of performance practice of the period are discussed in the aspect of technical and musical perspective. The following chapter contains the lives of Vaňhal, Hoffmeister and Stamitz, the history and form analyzes of Vaňhal's C Major, Hoffmeister and Stamitz's D Major viola concertos. These works are focused on from the perspective of a performer and their technical and musical difficulties were determined. How these difficulties should be studied within the framework of Classical Period style are presented with suggestions and recommendations for dynamics, fingerings and exercises. This thesis is prepared to give detailed information to students and educators who would practice or teach these concertos mentioned above.
