Art activities in early years that Varlik journal was published (I.1-60)

We ,in this study, made a research on Varlık journal which is one of themost everlasting journals published in Turkish Republic. We restricted ourresearch with only first sixty issues of the journals we considered that thesubject is all-inclusive.In the introduction part of our study, information about political, social,and cultural evolutions during the period which Varlık journal first started tobe published was given. In the first part, literary status and other journalsbetween the years 1923 and 1940 were mainly assessed.In the second part of our study, we focused on the formation and thefeatures of he journal and worked on the assessment of the first publicationof the journal, the reason and the aim of publication, its principals, title,shape, cost, number of the pages, publication and delivery, the story of itspublication which comes up to now, author and poet staff.In the third part, articles published in the journal were assessed. In thefourth part, we prepared two indices of the fist sixty issues of the journal.In the conclusion part, we made a general assessment on the role of thejournal on the Turkish literature and culture.Our starting point was the journal itself in our study named as ArtActivities In Early Years That Varlık Journal Was Published (I.1-60). Whileresearching Varlık, we had a recourse to biographies, literary history and thesources which helps us enlighten the social, political status of the period.Periodical publications have an important role on the development ofour ideal and art world from the first time they are published. That's why webelieve that researches, which will be made on the journals like Varlık andthe newspapers, after the ideal and art works will contribute to enlighten theTurkish literature history and the views of literary communities about art andliterature.
