Evaluation of rumors about the will -On the basis of Sahih-i Buhari-

Sahih-i Buhârî, which is accepted as the most important book after Quran in Islamic literature, shed light on religious underground for Muslims both at its own period and at the later period of times. The reason why Sahih-i Buhârî is considered more reliable than other hadith books is, the meticulousness shown in the determination of the script and its texts. For this reason, too many commentaries and reviews have been made and are still being made. All and certain parts of Sahih-i Buhârî have been examined and worked on frequently. However, as far as we have found, the subject of will is not so much studied compared to other subjects. For this reason, we have decided to examine the will subject of the Sahih-i Buhârî again. Today, the subject of the will is not fully known or understood. The hadith studies on the subject of the will have been left behind compared to other subjects, therefore not reaching the desired level. The fact that Sahih-i Buhârî is the most reliable source after the Quran explains our focus on it, while considering that there is enough narration about the will in it. This study consists of multiple parts such as introduction, body and the conclusion. The introduction focuses on the subject, study's purpose, the importance and method of research. In the first part following introduction, the life and scientific personality of Buhârî is explained and information about Sahih-i Bukhari is briefly introduced. Also, the word "will" is analyzed. In the second part, the "Bab titles" of the word will, along with the examination of the script, the râvi pedigree, "âli-nâzil isnad" and the related hadiths are evaluated. In the third part, brief information is given about the authors of the Kütüb-i Sitte, while the parts of the will of Kütüb-i Sitte and Sahih-i Buhârî are compared. At last, the conclusion includes a general evaluation to end the study on the mentioned piece.
