This research comprehensively examines the rhetoric and artistic depictions in the poems of the Iraqi Muslim poet Walid al-Azami, who was born in the city of al-Azamiyah in Iraq in 1930 and died there. Walid al-Azami is a poet who made a great impact with his sermon-like poems and is also known as a historian, writer and creative calligrapher. The research consists of two main parts in order to examine the poet's literary and artistic contributions in detail. Each chapter is divided into two parts, and in these parts, Walid al-Azami's poems are discussed from different points.The main questions the research focuses on are: What are the concepts of rhetoric and artistic depiction? Who is Walid al-Azami and what are his literary views? What kind of content do his literary views and works have? What are literary arts and how are these arts applied in the poet's poems? What themes did the poet focus on and how did he handle these themes? In the study, the linguistic and terminological definitions, sections and types of rhetoric are discussed in detail; Then, the concept of artistic depiction was adopted. Through analysis of Walid al-Azami's five main books, the depth of meaning and artistic depictions in his poems have been revealed. The study examines in detail how rhetoric and artistic depictions are processed in the light of the data obtained from the poet's works, using a document analysis method in this process. The research aims to comprehensively reveal Walid al-Azami's literary and artistic perspective, the aesthetic values of his poems and the poet's social impact
