Use of data mining techniques in bitcoin market forecast

Today, technology increases its presence in every aspect of our lives, which makes everything we do from shopping, bank loans, social media usage to data. The world is turning into a huge pile of data. As the amount of data increases day by day, there is a need for accurate analysis of these data. Data mining techniques enable us to make meaningful conclusions from large amounts of data, making these data useful. Data mining, which is becoming widespread in our country as in the world, is an interdisciplinary study used in almost every field from health to economy. Bitcoin is a popular crypto currency that has been popular all over the world in recent years and has brought wind of change in many areas with its blockchain technology. Although Bitcoin is not the only crypto currency, it is the first and most popular crypto currency. Although Bitcoin brings many innovations with it, it attracts attention with its speculation such as money laundering and having a very fluctuating value. This study consists of four parts. In the first part, information is given about data mining methods. In the second part, definitions and explanations about Bitcoin are given. In the third part, information about the Rapıdminer program used in the application is given. In the fourth part, ANN, DVM and LNR data mining techniques are used for forecasting of bitcoin data between 22.03.2017 and 22.03.2018.
