Efficiency measurement with data envelopment analysis and a sectoral application

The aim of this study is to examine the Data Envelopment Analysis which is increasingly getting used for it's advantages in efficiency analysis. By using DEA, the relative efficiency of 34 stores, in one of the Turkey's leading hypermarket chain, was projected. By this context variables which reflect the efficiency of 34 stores were chosen and the data were gathered. Output oriented CCR and output oriented BCC models were developed and the DEA Solver software program was used in analyzing these models. The results were discussed and interpreted in the last section.
