he maintenance of the grass areas needs a great effort and cost. These efforts and costs should result in long-lasting grass. This case requires that soil, drainage and sprinkler system should be in proper structure while constituting grass areas. The grass cut height, cleaning of dead grass and airing should be made technically and at certain intervals.On the other hand, cleaning the dead grass, in other words airing the grass, which is made in order to increase drainage and transmittance, is necessary for obtaining good-looking green grass. But in our country it is essential to have a lawn mover for the grass areas as budget of grass areas is limited but verticut hasn?t been so common yet. Two separate machines always cause two different costs.Because of this reason, a lawn mower blades which have different mowing styles and verticut knives which have been designed according to lawn mover blade, a different chassis, a different motor which has different features from the motor which has been used in lawn mowers, a distinct handle, a stop, a chassis design whose blowing system is strong, usual pneumatic tires which are different from the others and a machine prototype have been produced which has features of both lawn mowing and verticut at the same time and just lawn mowing with easy-provided first mobility system. The difference between an ordinary lawn mower and the machine which has features of both verticut and lawn mowing is clear with the photographs taken before cutting and after cutting by both machines in the areas side by side. The machine?s mowing quality has appeared and grass has increased in numbers by observing the same area again and taking photographs. Lastly the photographs which are taken from grass? soil show us the difference between our machines?s mowing and a classical machine?s mowing by taking out the grass with a die-cutting machine. After these experiments it has been understood that the machine?s mowing and verticut at the same time and just moving at a time reveals more qualified grass than the classical machines. The differences in terms of users and costs have been unfolded in the study in detail.
