Macrofungus diversity of Vezirköprü, Samsun province

This study was carried out to determine the macrofungal diversity of Vezirköprü, located within the borders of of Samsun province. Color pictures of macrofungi samples detected during field trips between 2023-2024 were taken, and than their ecological characteristics and some morphological features were noted. Macrofungi specimens were wrapped in paper to avoid damage and brought to the laboratory in a box. Spore prints of the macrofungus specimens were taken and dried with an electric heater. The microscopic properties of the samples were determined on dry samples using suitable chemicals and light microscopy. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 90 species belonging to 2 divisions, 4 classis, 9 ordes, 36 families and 54 genera were identified. Of the identified macrofungi species, 3 (%3) belong to Ascomycota, 87 (%97) to Basidiomycota. Of these, 31 were edible, 39 inedible and 20 poisonous.
