Görüntünün demokratikleşmesi ya da sanatsal niteliğini yitirmesi: Videoblog örneği

Expressing by the moving image which was, for decades, an activity unique to a restricted group of people in economic and technical terms, forms now a large part of the content production on the Web. Today anyone can shoot his/her own video and share it with the others via a video blog. With the idea that exploring the visual content of Web through an important part of this content can provide us important elements to understand the nature of this mass production of the image, this study focuses on video blogs. Hoping that a narratological analyze can inform us not only about the aesthetic characteristics of video blogs but also about the nature of the universe constructed by them, our random sample of 20 videos have been reviewed by a methodology that combines a pragmatic perspective to a narratological approach and which, therefore, considers the video blogs as new ways of self expression by moving image in the communication context they are enrolled.
