When we look at the history of democracy in the Republic of Turkey, it is possible to say that one of the important turning points was the elections held in 1946. The fact that more than one political party participated in the elections again after various attempts was one of the important steps taken in the name of democracy, and the transition to multi-party political life ended with the 1946 elections. As the opposition became more evident and was accepted by the society, it was decided that the elections planned to be held in 1947 were brought forward one year and held in 1946. When we look at Çankırı province, one of the provinces where the elections were held, it is seen that the opposition did not elect any deputies and all 5 deputies were elected from the ruling party, CHP. In our study, the general elections held in 1946 are mentioned and VIII. The biographies and political lives of Çankırı MPs of the period are included. In this context, five MPs expelled from Çankırı province; The studies of Akif Arkan, Ahmet Zeki Soydemir, Mustafa Abdülhalik Renda, Mehmet Rifat Dolunay and Ahmet İhsan Zeyneloğlu, law proposals, podium speeches, translations of state documents and election certificates were included and evaluations were made regarding the election conditions of the period. In addition, the necessary areas are supported with graphics and VIII. It is aimed to reveal the MPs of the Çankırı province of the period. The data used in our study was prepared by using the Turkish Grand National Assembly, newspapers of the period and studies related to the period.
