Abstract (EN)

Our country has 12 venemious snake species. 9 species from Viperidae family which also includes Vipera (=Montivipera) xanthina (Ottaman Snake) belong to 12 venemious snake. This species that endemic to our country, in terms of its venom effectiveness which is one of the most dangerous snakes taxon in our country.In this study, 1,3 and 6 hr application grups albino rat (Rattus rattus) venom of Vipera xanthina by injecting gastrocnemius muscle (i.m.). Skin, liver and muscle tissues cutted 5µ, point with H&E and histologycal research to be made a with light microscobe.Result of histopatologycal observing, the part dermis of skin edema, hemorrhage, focus bleeding, rare inflammation cells, mix bigger inflammatory infiltrate, enviroment vascular inflammation and adipose necrosis to fix, but epidermis normal histologycal appearance. Investigate of liver tissue, sinusoid hemorrhage and hepatocellular degeneration. Tissue muscle to observe, myonekrosis, mix inflammatory infiltrate, hemorrhage, myofibril inclusion.Keywords: Vipera xanthina, histopatologycal, venom, skin, liver, muscle.
