Abstract (EN)
Arranging from different instruments to various instruments has been an effective application used for centuries. In such work, where general scanning model is used to expand the viola repertoire considered insufficient in recognition of works before 20th century, the factors relating to arranging the works written for different instruments to viola repertoire as well as their contributions to viola literature. The structural development of viola in historical continuum and original viola works within this continuum as well as the works arranged to viola and added into repertoire taking their dispersion as per periods into consideration. In addition to the consideration about viola's possessing an indispensable role in completing a harmony, the instrument's gaining the process of today's solo identity is examined. At the end of the research, it is observed that, viola's gaining its today's form accompanying with the numerical increase in viola performers affected the increase in composers generating pieces for viola. Besides, the research elicited the fact that, viola does not possess a limited repertoire as mentioned and in contrast, the instrument has a remarkable span of works both with respect to original ones as well as transposed ones.
