Abstract (EN)
The purpose of the study is to analyse "Figaro" as a character in W.A. Mozart's opera "The Marriage of Figaro". In the study life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the period he lived and his attitude towards music was studied. Some facts about the era of Mozart and the movements that he was influenced was mentioned. The libretto of " The Marriage of Figaro" is examined in terms of genre and theme. Lorenzo Da Ponte, the author of the libretto, was introduced and the characters that he created in this libretto were presented. The characters of the opera are intreduced and especially as a character "Figaro" was analysed in the shed Michel Foucault's power and panopticon theories.
