Özet (EN)

The phenomenon of orientalism, which emerged in the 18th century, has been studied in many fields, manifested itself in a way that cannot be ignored; It has culturally influenced the European civilizations that emerged after the geographical discoveries with the Reform Movements and the Renaissance. The West's view of the East is noteworthy as cultural, human and social differences. After the failiure of Second Siege of Vienna, Europe's attitude towards the Ottoman Empire changed. Various works of art have been put forward on this situation. When the Opera for Abduction from the Palace is examined, it is understood that this phenomenon emerged with many elements and contains various orientalist elements. In this study, the phenomenon of orientalism and how it was reflected in Mozart's music at the opera of Die Entführung aus dem Serail was discussed. However, that period of Vienna and the effect of Second Siege of Vienna in Europe is mentioned. When the Ottoman Empire entered a period of stagnation and began to lose land, it shook its authority in the eyes of the West. The phenomenon of orientalism has been nourished by these treaties and the Western establishment of political superiority. On the other hand, Turkish fashion and the exoticism of the east also influenced the West in an artistic sense. Mozart's opera of Die Entführung aus dem Serail is one of the leading examples about this topic.
