Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the intertextual relationships in the play Le Soleil ni la mort ne peuvent se regarder en face by Mouawad, one of the great names of Quebec's migratory literature, which is an important pillar of francophone writing and to show the transformations of form and meaning on it. We have benefited from Gérard Genette's approach to intertextuality by determining the relationships of common unity and derivation relations between the hypertext and the hypotext, which the author has established with the themes of migration, identity, and memory. In addition, we benefited from the postcolonial criticism concerning the main themes of the book, and the myth critic developed by Pierre Brunel, Yves Chevrel, and Gilbert Durand because of the intense use of mythical figures. As a result, this work, which we have discussed with an intertextual approach, has a common association with the tragedies of Aeschylus, Euripides and Sophocles named Seven Against Thebes, Phoenicians Women, and King Oedipus, respectively, and the ancient Greek myths, and it is said that the work is, in fact, a bricolage, and therefore, we have tried to show that it can be accepted as a contemporary tragedy in terms of both its form and its theme matter.
