Abstract (EN)
Thermoplastics are an important material used in 3D printing with fused deposition modeling (FDM). Before using thermoplastics as final products, the tribological properties of these materials should be known and compared. In this study, the wear behavior of 3D-printed parts produced with FDM was investigated under different temperature conditions. In this study, five different thermoplastic materials were selected. Pin-on-disc abrasion tests were performed at 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, and 1.1 times the room temperature and glass transition temperature of the samples to represent the different working environments that the samples might encounter. The results of the study showed that the wear of thermoplastic parts is significantly affected by temperature. It has been observed that at higher temperatures, the wear rates of thermoplastic parts increase with increasing ambient temperature. To observe the changes in the chemical structure of the materials as the ambient temperature changes, the FTIR test was applied to the materials after the tests, and the results were evaluated. It has been observed that the hardness values of the materials play an important role in the wear mechanism, and it has been observed that the hardness values play an important role in the wear mechanism of the materials. In order to better understand the effect of the wear mechanism on thermoplastic materials, SEM images of the thermoplastic materials were taken and interpreted after the wear tests.
