Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to investigate the changes in the self-efficacy beliefs and scientific attitudes of 5th grade middle school students due to the use of Web 2.0 applications in science courses. The research was carried out with two classes consisting of 5th grade students in Şehit Üsteğmen Mustafa Şimşek Secondary School in Kocasinan district of Kayseri province in the 2023-2024 academic year. One of these classes was selected by simple random assignment method as the control group (25) and the other as the experimental group (25). From these two groups, a science course was conducted for 5 weeks using traditional methods to the control group, and using Web 2.0 tools to the experimental group. Pre-test-post-test quasi-experimental design, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the research. At the beginning of the process, "Self-Efficacy Belief Scale" and "Scientific Attitude Scale" were applied. At the end of the 5-week process, the same scales were applied again and the data were transferred to the statistics program. When the data was analyzed; It was observed that there was no significant difference for both scales in the control group, while there was a significant difference in self-efficacy beliefs in the experimental group, but no significant difference in scientific attitudes.
