Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to analyze the bibliometric variables of international articles and papers published on "listening anxiety" and "reading anxiety." Additionally, it aimed to systematically present the existing knowledge in the field and provide guidance for future research. International publications in the category of education and educational research were organized using a descriptive scanning method. Bibliometric data extracted from the Web of Science (WoS) database were utilized, and the scanning process was limited to publications between October 27, 1975, and October 27, 2023. The scanned indexes were determined as SCI-EXPANDED, SSCI, A&HCI, CPCI-S, CPCI-SSH, BKCI-S, BKCI-SSH, and ESCI. The keywords "reading anxiety" and "listening anxiety" were scanned in all languages and publication types. As a result of the analysis, over 10,000 publications in the "Education & Educational Research" category were scanned, and a total of 183 studies were subjected to examination. The data were presented in tables and figures. The data in the tables were analyzed in terms of Web of Science (WoS) categories, publication types, numerical distribution by years, most cited publications, influential researchers, influential journals, influential countries, influential institutions, influential publication languages, and the most supportive funds for the publication process. Additionally, a social network analysis method was employed to visualize the relationships between the most frequently used keywords and the most cited publications in the articles and papers in the "Education & Educational Research" category. The results indicate that the majority of publications on these keywords are in article format, most publications are made in the "Education & Educational Research" category, English is the most commonly used language in publications, the highest number of publications occurred in 2021, and the most cited articles and papers are found in journals such as "Modern Language Journal" and "Foreign Language Annals." Furthermore, it was determined that the most active countries in publishing are the People's Republic of China and the United States, and the most active publishers are "Springer Nature," "Wiley," and "Elsevier." Liu Meihua, Namaziandost Ehsan, and Sparks Richard L. were identified as the most prolific authors in this field, with Macintyre Peter D. and Horwitz Elanie Kolker being the most cited authors.
