On Weingarten surfaces

This thesis consists of …five chapters. The fi…rst chapter is devoted to the introduction section and provides a general knowledge of literature. In the second chapter, we have given about the basic concepts needed. In the third chapter in E^3 and E^3_1 parallel linear Weingarten surfaces are examined. In the fourth chapter, spacelike and timelike surfaces of revolution in Minkowski space that satisfy aH + bK = c; where a, b, c are constants, H and K denote the mean curvature and Gauss curvature are classi…fied. In the …fifth chapter, spacelike surfaces in Minkowski space E^3_1 foliated by pieces of circles and that satisfy aH + bK = c are examined.
