Abstract (EN)
The indoor wireless communication can be achieved by many different technologies such as light, Bluetooth and infrared. However, the data speed is not sufficient to transfer big data within a required range in short time segment. A need for high data rate is required to fulfill todays requirements where, high definition videos need to be sent in a blink of eye. In contrast to other indoor technologies our system carry data in a very high data rate. The system reliability is investigated using eye diagram that shows the system is suitable for wireless communication. This is a directional line of sight system which can be used between two users in an indoor environment. The users are able to share data without any physical wire in terms of seconds that eradicates the need for CD or flash disks to carry data from one point to another. In this thesis, it is aimed to study a very high data rate wireless communication system utilizing X-band. For achieving this goal, a Vivaldi antenna has been drawn and fabricated suitable for the system that is tested by vector network analyzer for its S11 and S21 parameters which effectively worked at 11.2 GHz. For such system it is essential to establish a convenient experimental setup consist of a transmitter and a receiver, the experimental setup is combined out of suitable RF components in order to achieve a very high data rate. Different modulation schemes are tested on the system namely, binary phase shift keying and on-off keying. The system stability and reliability has been tested up to 3.7 Gbit/s. Since this experiment is purposed to be done inside a room the distance between transmitter and receiver is gradually increased from 5cm up to 160cm.
