Abstract (EN)
Ganja was under the rule of the Salarid State in the middle of the tenth century, and in the following years, it came under the rule of the Shaddadi State and became the capital of this state. During the 11th century In parallel with the gradual strengthening of the Sheddadis State, the importance of Ganja increased and its level of development increased. Meanwhile, Ganja, as the largest city of Arran, had an important place in the political, economic and cultural life of the country. Ganja, which was among the cities of Azerbaijan that reached a high level of development in the examined period, attracted attention with its unique architectural features and beautiful architectural structures. 9th century constitutes the brightest period of the development of the city of Ganja. This period of Ganja in the history of Azerbaijan is called the "renaissance" period. Based on the researched written sources and archaeological findings, it is possible to reach the following conclusion: Ganja, which turned into a magnificent city in the Middle Ages, had an important strategic-geotic position and was located on the caravan routes, which enabled it to gradually turn into a large and developed medieval city. The subject of the thesis is Ganja`s state structure, city architecture, social structure, economic characteristics, cultural development level, etc. in the centuries examined. During the period examined, the city of Ganja was included in the administration of several states, there were disorganizations in the city during wars, but soon Ganja started to develop again. These states had their own effects on the city, society and administration of Ganja. The aim of the thesis is to examine the positive and negative aspects of these effects with the help of existing historical works and written sources. The importance of the thesis is that the development process of the social structure, administration and city architecture of Ganja, whose history dates back two thousand years before Christmas, dates back to the X-XI periods. It consists of examining the unique characteristics of the period covering centuries.
