Abstract (EN)
Debates on the establishment of the Ottoman Empire have occupied historians for a long time. Although discussions on a general and widespread basis, from tribe to state, are not held at the same intensity as before, this open-ended acceptance continues to be effective. The role of the so-called nomadic communities during the establishment of the state is very important. Tribes with their unique structures; While they continued their lives as they were formed administratively, socially and economically, the nomads made significant contributions to the development and development of the empire's lands by settling in accordance with a certain administrative-legal order in the growth and development of the state. The Cihanbeyli Tribe, which is mostly Kurdish in terms of demographic structure but also includes the Turkmen population, has spread over a wide area in the Anatolian geography, from the east to Central Anatolia and from there to the west, with the tribes affiliated to it. This nomadic community, which is economically in harmony with the state and has made significant contributions to the economy within the borders of the country with the small livestock trade network it has developed, was settled in line with the policy of transition to settled life after the Tanzimat, like other communities. Cihanbeyli and its affiliated tribes have created a distinct harmony within the political structure of the country with their contributions to economic life, their military services to the state and their patronage of the region in ensuring public order. Key Words: Cihanbeyli Tribe, Nomad, Settlement, Alişan Bey.
