Abstract (EN)
This Master?s thesis, entitled Greek Schools in the 19th Century İzmir analyzes briefly first, among many other things, demographical and social-economical structure of Izmir from the very beginning to the 19th century. It presents information on lives, cultures and settlements of minorities, including Greeks, in Izmir. It provides valuable information in general on educational system of minorities and of the Greeks in specific.
