Festivals are the most important elements that keep the society alive and revive the consciousness of being a nation. Festivals reinforce the feelings of unıty and solidarity of the people and increase awareness of being a family and a nation. In addition, festivals allow a society to carry these values to future generations in the most beautiful way and show them how important these values are. The festivities and games organized as part of these festivals that keep the traditions of the societies alive, have been blended with new values and have survived from the past to the present. Although the Turkish nation lives in different regions and under difficult conditions, it has maintained its culture, traditions and customs. In this context, festivals that vary among different nations, countries and regions; help us understand the history, culture and social structure of the Turkish nation in the best way. Thıs thesis provides information about the feasts and festivals celebrated by Turkish communities in Turkestan Region. The festivities of the Turkic communities living in the region continue from the past to the present, while preserving the same vitality and sincerity. The Turkish nation, which has a rich culture, has managed to keep its social values alive by celebrating its festivals and keeping people unified despite a century long Russian captivity.
