Abstract (EN)
In this study, Louis XV. and Louis XVI. Style Furniture have been examined in general characteristics and the samples of today. Also, some samples which are applied today were compared with the original samples with regards to production methods, style and general characteristics. It has been benefited from thesises, books, magazines, articles, photos and furniture catalogues about Louis XV. and Louis XVI. Style Furniture. As a result of this study, it was seen that samples of today did not fully reflect the characteristics of style and were non-ergonomic and non-aesthetic in workshop-type production in order to reduce production costs. Louis XV. and Louis XVI. Style Furniture which has an important place in the history of furniture have been concluded that it will be beneficial for both users and the furniture and design sector if the samples reflect their originals which can be re-produced by using new machines and updated advanced technology.
