Abstract (EN)
The transportation sector has been developing fast according to the increased conditions of competition and technological improvements. Therefore railway vehicles, which are cheaper and more reliable than the other vehicles and equipment, need to some technical improvements. In this study, firstly static tests were applied to a railway bogie under some specific conditions. After these tests, modal calculations were applied to bogie to investigate the dynamic behaviour of bogie. For the simulation, a simplified model of Y 32 bogie were made which manufactured in the Tüvasaş factory. Firstly solid model of the elements of bogie were made in the CAD program then in the same program, these elements were constituted in a assembly model and transferred to a software which make finite element calculations to make analysis. Static tests were made according to the International Union of Railways UIC 515 - 4 technical describtion. This describtion contains static and fatigue strength tests for passenger railway car bogies. This describtion consists of definition of loads under allowable conditions, application conditions of tests, results which obtained from the tests, comments about results of tests and recommendations and precautions. As a result of static calculation, it has been seen that bogie confirmed the conditions in the UIC-515 describtion and natural frequencies and mode shapes of bogie were obtained from modal analysis.Key words: Railway wagon, bogie, static analysis, dynamic analysis, modal analysis
