Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the pedagogical, technical and intercultural usability dimension of the Ana Dil Türkçe e-learning system and objects prepared by Anadolu University for the purpose of teaching Turkish as a foreign-second language. The study was designed with convergent parallel design from mixed method research types. The qualitative dimension of the research, in which qualitative and quantitative data are used together, is case study; The quantitative dimension was patterned by a survey study. Content analysis was used in qualitative data analysis and descriptive analysis methods were used in quantitative data analysis. In the research, sampling for qualitative sampling and quantitative sampling were formed randomly (non-randomly). In this context, 211 participants registered in the Ana Dil Türkçe e-learning system and actively used the system between 2020 and 2022 in the quantitative dimension of the study and 25 participants in the qualitative dimension were found. The quantitative and qualitative data collection process was carried out online. The online interview audio and video recordings were recorded on a voluntary basis by obtaining the necessary ethics committee permissions. Quantitative and qualitative data collected simultaneously in the mixed method research process were analysed by combining method, interview codes and themes; analysed by comparing them with pedagogical, technical and intercultural usability items. As a result of the study, the features of the Ana Dil Türkçe e-learning objects, especially the contribution to basic language skills, user interface, collaborative learning environment, and course material content, were determined and a usability evaluation model was proposed for future studies.
