Abstract (EN)

With the growing importance of international communication, the need to learn foreign languages has increased. It can be seen that as a result of this increase, the importance that is given to language teaching methods has also increased. Various language teaching methods have been used with the consideration of factors such as learner population and learning aims. Task based method is also one of the methods that is suggested in language teaching with the aim of improving language skills and teaching language components. Being suggested in Common European Framework is a factor that makes this method important. The main aim of this study is to contribute developing writing skills in teaching Turkish as a foreign language by means of task based method. In the study, firstly the basic information about task based method and writing skill is discussed. After that, the course materials that are used to teach Turkish as a foreign language were examined on the basis of task-based method. As a result of this examination it is found that task based writing activities are not included in the materials. Finally, task based writing activities at A1 and A2 levels are proposed to contribute to filling the gap of task based material in the field.
