Abstract (EN)
Weeds, most use pesticide in conventional agriculture, in other agriculture form labour costs has been one of the problems. Due to the increased use of herbicides in recent years, producers who want to make organic farming, cultural control not much choice other than it has led scientists and farmers to search. This research in cotton planting 13 character (control, pendimethalin, sawdust, cotton meal, olive pomace, wheat straw, pumice tone, greenhouse cover, transparent PVC, black PVC, jute sack, hand hoe and farmer state) and 4 iteration coincidence blocks trial pattern was established on 2014 and 2016, cotton field in Aydin Soke Sarikemer village. Drip irrigation system was used in the research. When organic mulch materials are evaluated in themselves, in the first year 21-36% in different rates of the weeds have an effect. Pumice stone was effective at 36%, while the lowest effect was seen in cotton meal at 21%. In the first year, hand hoe application, 97% effect was determined. In inorganic mulch applications, while the highest effect in the first year is seen in the jute sack with 65%, the least effect was seen in the application of 54% greenhouse cover. In the second year, the best effect of organic mulch applications was determined with 82% of sawdust, the lowest effect rate was found in olive pomace with 52%. Cotton meal was found to be ineffective. In inorganic mulch materials, the highest effect is seen in PVC transparent with 89%. the lowest effect was found in the jute sack with 62%. In the second year, hand hoe application was effective by 79%. In general, our applications with the highest impact are hand hoe application (97%), in the second year PVC transparent was effective (89%). In the first year, pendimethalin increased the yield of cotton by 3% and in the second year 15% of greenhouse cover. It can be considered to producers who want to grow in larger areas and organic cotton in terms of to weeds on their effectiveness, ease of application and availability everywhere, pumice stone, cotton seed pulp without weed seeds, olive pomace (not to be applied for two consecutive years) and PVC black polyethylene cover.
