Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to investigate the Turkish writing anxiety of foreign national university students. In the study, the Turkish writing anxiety levels of foreign national university students were examined in terms of the variables in the personal information form. The relational scanning model, a quantitative scanning model, was used in the research. The research group of the study consists of a total of 144 foreign national university students, 41 from Gazi University TÖMER, 35 from ÇankırıKaratekin University TÖMER, and 68 from Hitit University TÖMER. "Personal Information Form" and "Writing Anxiety Scale for Those Learning Turkish as a Foreign Language" were used as data collection tools in the research. T-test, Mann-Whitney U test, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Tukey post-hoc test were used for statistical calculations. As a result of the research, it was determined that the Turkish writing anxiety levels of foreign national university students were at a "moderate" level. Additionally, no significant difference was found between students' Turkish writing anxieties and variables such as gender, the importance of writing, and the TÖMER institutions they attended. Furthermore, a significant difference was determined between students' Turkish writing anxieties and variables such as the duration of their stay in Turkey, monthly book reading frequency, the habit of keeping a diary, and language proficiency level.
