Abstract (EN)
At current years, learning a new language has been getting an important point in people's life. Also, teaching new language concepts have turned to "teaching culture" and "education about interaction between different cultures" because in today's world, interaction between different cultures have raised considerable. Therefore, we aim some points in this research for the people, who have different cultures, to have them good connection with other cultures, to be aware about differences among various cultures and teaching them to show respect for different cultures. In this thesis research, we discuss teachingTurkish as a new language and providing cultural transfer between different cultures in this education. Therefore, we evaluated using literary textes, which include cultural elements. We explained using myth as a literary text and possibility of cultural interaction. Myths were studied with their cultural feature and we made some events about myths. This research is about how we will make textstudies and how we will improve these studies with practices at Turkish lessons as foreign language. The aim of this thesis study is providing important factors of intercultural education in teaching foreign language and cultural transfer between students also, evaluating using these myths and suggesting sample lesson material. In this study, qualitative research method wasused. Datas were analyzed by content analysis. Literature screening method and document analysis technique were used in data collection. Purpose-oriented legend shave been examined. A literature review of the cultural characteristics of these legends were screened such as, customand traditions, historical values, messages for special days. 10 selected myths were examined with in the scope of the case studies and sociocultural elements in the common framework program of the EuropeanUnion. These cultural elements were examined with details and suggested for the finding sare presented. Language teaching,forms togetherness with culture teaching.Thus, ''meaningful learning takes place'' result is achieved. Therefore, we need literary texts for teaching culture. Myth, as literary text type, is necessary enough for culture teaching. Language teachers will be guided by theuse of legends in culture transfer, thanks to the results of the study.
