The effectiveness of teaching technique in teaching Turkish to foreigners pantomime verbs

Ever since humanity started to exist until today, people and the community that they belong to,have been trying to search their own culture and trying to teach this culture to people from other communities. With this purpose, they felt to share everything that they had to with others by speaking,writing or speechless. With this idea communication, which is between people, was born and with various ways has been existing between people. Under this circumstance it has been existing in peoples' life and it has been using by oneself, as a communication between people,either as verbal communication or as non verbal communication by people.As a part of body language, technic of pantomime includes a communication which is non verbal and only moves of body. Under this circumstance, verbs are a word group which are one of word groups of Turkish also include an action and a movement. With these two facts we also scanned the literature which is existing and we observed there is not a work which is about teaching verbs by using technic of pantomime. If we think that language is a living phenomenon, a subject that involves movement within verbs such as verbs can be animated with the pantomime technique, which is a branch of art like itself. In this sense,chapters which have ''Present Time suffix'' have been searched from books Hitit, Yediklim, Istanbul ve Gazi Dil Bilgisi which are using to teach Turkish to foreing people and a verb pool was created. Also variants of verbs which are in this pool,have been approached. Verbs in this pool have been transfered to students in five weeks period.For research an experiment and as a control group, two different groups have been created. There were 11 students in each group. For determination of success of students,T-Test have been used.Sum up, results of the test were showed and have been calculated in this Pre-test group of experiment was answered averagely as (X) 108,909,group of control was answered averagely as (X) 107,363. Pre-test has been calculated, average of correct answers were as (X) 55,181;in the control group it was as 52,424. At last the last test has been calculated,answers of group of experiment averagely were as (X) 175,181;answers of group of control were averagely as (X) 105,636. The Last-Test has been calculated for correct answers of experiment group were averagely as (X) 144,724; for the control group, correct answers were averagely as (X) 63,181.
