Adaptation of the stories entitled Ecir ve Sabır, Baltayla Doğuran Böyle Doğurur and Papazın Eşeği by Huseyin R. Gurpınar to level B2 for teaching Turkish as a foreign language

The aim of this study is, with the help of the instructive function of story as a genre, to provide course material at B2 level in order to improve the reading abilities of students who learn Turkish as a foreign language. The latest economic, political and cultural relations at international level have proved that the course material in our country for students who learn Turkish as a foreign language is inedaquate to improve their language abilities. To solve the lack of course material it is necessary to publish new course packages which aim to improve the reading, writing and speaking abilities of the students, as well as their knowledge on grammar. With the aim of providing reading material for students, this study adapts the stories entitled Ecir ve Sabır, Baltayla Doğuran Böyle Doğurur and Papazın Eşeği by Hüseyin Rahmi Gürpınar to B2 level. For this adaptation, the main source for this study is the guide for Turkish as a Foriegn Langugae by Türkiye Maarif Vakfı which is based on CEFR/AOÖÇ.
