Abstract (EN)

This study has been prepared with the aim of identifying groups of words which needed by foreign students in canteen, students office, library, dining hall, photocopy place and stationery in the universty campus.The universe of the study which has been prepared in the framework of spoken word frequency and prevalence of Turkish language is the education campus of the Canakkale 18 Mart University. Stationnery, canteen, photocopy place, student office,labrary and dining hall are the fields which are used as a sample. A voice recorder was placed in the selected fields as a sample. The voice recording were made in writting on the computer. Natural observations were made in the same places without interfering with the natural environment. Words detected during the natural observations were written down with the help of the computer.The date was grouped according the diffirent characteristics of them. They were not groupted only according to their prevalence and frequency. Here are some of the groups:Question patterns used in the canteen, question patterns used in the stationery and photocopy place, verbs used in the campus. Words are grouped according to various characteristics in totaly 22 tables.At the end of the study various suggestions were made based on informations obtained from the study
