Abstract (EN)
Analysis method of lubricant and wear particle is applied on the engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and differential gears of earth trucks in ELİ, Soma. In this study, six engines, a transmission, three hydraulic systems and three transmissions of earth trucks are examined in ELİ, Soma. Lubricant samples taken from defined units in conformity with standards, are examined in lubricant analysis laboratory. Measurement of dirtiness of lubricant and reason of this facts (water, fuel, dust, wear particles etc.) are inspected.Quantity of wear particles are determined by particle quantity instrument. Size and shape of wear particles are examined by microscope and compared with wear atlas. According to analysis results important breakdowns are prevented.Consequently; significant decrease of repair-maintenance costs and increase of work life of earth trucks are provided. And by determining breakdowns before and taking necessary precautions made the earth trucks work without breakdowns.Key Words: lubricant analysis, wear, working life.
