Abstract (EN)

In parallel with the increasing world population, the nutrition requirements of the countries have greater importance day by day. Taking an important place in the nutritional requirements today, agricultural sector does not only meet the nutritional requirements of all living creatures, but also generates the primary source of the raw material provided by various branches of industry to fulfill their functions. Increasing the studies on oil seed, which has an important place among agricultural products especially in Turkey, is cultivated in almost the whole country, and also plays a vital role both in the nurturing of the living beings and in various sectors, has a quite importance. Accordingly, the main aim of the study is to offer a modeling proposal to determine potential warehouse sites for oil seeds. At this point, a four-stage model has been designed. The first stage is to find out the provinces with the highest oil seed warehouse potential in line with the criteria determined by using Delphi technique in each region of Turkey and an integrated AHP-TOPSIS method. The second stage is to determine the accurate warehouse number and sites for Turkey currently via P-Median method. The third stage is to forecast to determine the output of oil seed by using Panel Data Analysis to test the suitability of the model for the determined aim and the nature of the problem. Moreover, a sample case for determining the site and number of oil seed warehouse in 2030 has been presented to make this forecast and test it. At the last stage, the cost analysis of these case scenarios has been performed. According to the general results obtained, it has been determined that in Turkey, currently, the ideal number of oil seed warehouse is four, and the provinces in which these warehouses are built are Adana, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, and Tekirdağ, andin 2030, the ideal number of oil seed warehouse is four, and the provinces in which these warehouses are built are Konya, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, and Tekirdağ. It has been calculated that the total cost of building four warehouse sites currently is 28.078.347,25 $, whereas the total cost of building four warehouse sites in the case of 2030 is 32.577.991,29 $.
